Privacy Policy

"The Hub" is a community-run DayZ server and is the data controller for the personal data described below. For any privacy request, contact support@thehubdayz.eu.

• Discord account data: your Discord ID and username, obtained via Discord OAuth when you log in.
• Steam account data: your SteamID64, obtained when you link your Steam account, used to apply perks to your in-game character.
• Donation & order data: the products/perks purchased, amount, currency, status, and timestamp, needed to fulfill and keep a record of your donation.
• Payment data: card and billing details are collected and processed directly by Stripe, our payment processor — we never see or store your full card number.
• Technical data: IP address and basic request logs, kept for security and fraud prevention.
• Local cart data: the contents of your shopping cart are stored in your browser's local storage before checkout and never leave your device until you complete a purchase.

• To operate your account and apply the perks linked to your donations (performance of a contract).
• To prevent fraud, abuse of the donation system, and unauthorized chargebacks (legitimate interest).
• To keep accounting records of transactions as required by law (legal obligation).
• To respond to support requests you send us (legitimate interest / contract).

We do not use your data for advertising, and we do not sell your personal data.

We share the minimum data necessary with the following processors, each governed by their own privacy policy:

• Stripe — processes your payment and billing information.
• Discord — provides the OAuth login used to identify your account.
• Valve (Steam) — provides the OAuth flow used to link your SteamID.

Some of these providers may process data outside the European Economic Area; where that is the case, they do so under appropriate safeguards (such as Standard Contractual Clauses). We do not otherwise share your data with third parties, except where required by law.

This site does not use advertising or analytics cookies. We use your browser's local storage to remember your cart between visits, and a session cookie/token to keep you logged in after you authenticate with Discord. These are strictly necessary for the site to function and do not require consent under applicable law.

Account and donation records are kept for as long as your account is active, and afterwards for as long as required to satisfy accounting and legal obligations (typically up to 5 years for financial records under French law). Technical logs are kept for a limited period for security purposes and then deleted.

Under the GDPR, you have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you.
• Correct inaccurate data.
• Request erasure of your data, where it is not needed to satisfy a legal obligation.
• Restrict or object to certain processing.
• Receive a copy of your data in a portable format.
• Lodge a complaint with the CNIL (France's data protection authority) at www.cnil.fr.

To exercise any of these rights, contact support@thehubdayz.eu. You can unlink your Steam account and disconnect your Discord account at any time from your Account page.

We take reasonable technical measures to protect your data, including encrypted connections (HTTPS) and access controls on our systems. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Our services are not directed at children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data without appropriate consent, contact us and we will delete it.

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected in the "Last updated" date above.
