How to play
The short version: nothing on this server is handed to you. Here is exactly how the loot economy, the key rotation and the endgame are tuned, so you know what you are working towards from the moment you spawn.
› Not a tapper server
The whole loot economy is built around one rule: nothing should feel handed to you. A full kit is meant to be an achievement, not a spawn-in condition.
That includes weapons. This is not a tapper server — every .338 rifle is being reviewed so it can no longer one-tap a player in full T4 gear. A fight should be decided by positioning and aim, not by whoever loaded the right caliber.
› Loot tiers, in short
Every item on the server sits somewhere on a T1 to T5 scale: T1 is common, T5 is the rarest gear that exists. The whole key and keycard system below exists to gate access to the top of that scale.
› Key rotation
Locked rooms rotate through three tiers of keys, colour-coded so you know what you're walking into before you commit to clearing the room.
| Tier | Keys | Typical loot | Keycard chance |
|---|---|---|---|
| Low tier | BlueGreen | T2–T3, plus a 0.5% chance of T4 | 10% |
| Mid tier | YellowPurple | T3, plus a 50% chance of T4 | 38% |
| High tier | RedOrangeNWAF | T4, plus a 1% chance of T5 | 77% |
Numbers in the last column are the chance that clearing the room also drops a keycard — the higher the tier, the better the odds.
Dynamic loot crates only ever drop Blue or Green keys, plus a very rare chance of a better one and a very, very, very rare chance of a keycard. Anything above that tier has to be looted from rooms directly, with the odds scaling with how rare that room already is.
› Keycards
Keycards run on their own rarity ladder, separate from keys, and gate the best loot on the server.
| Tier | Keycards | Typical loot |
|---|---|---|
| Low tier | BlueGreenPink | T4, plus a 10% chance of T5 |
| Mid tier | PurpleYellowTeal | T4, plus a 10% chance of T5 |
| High tier | RedOrange | T4, plus a 40% chance of T5 |
| Very high tier | BlackWhite | 75% chance of T5 |
As a baseline, a keycard room carries roughly a 20% chance of holding a T5 item — the table above is the precise breakdown by keycard colour.
› Events vs. keys
Events pay out better than keys, full stop — but they take more coordination and more risk to actually pull off.
Keys are the easier, more reliable route: lower ceiling, lower effort. Pick whichever trade-off fits your group on a given night.
› Endgame & progression
T5 gear and tappers are only meant to show up from the middle of the wipe onward — do not expect to see them in the first few days.
